Manor Cottage home swap

Our home is a large Victorian House situated on a hill 5 minutes walk from Hastings Castle (famous since 1066!) and 10 minutes walk from the beach and the historical old town. We have a very big garden with fruit trees. gs

We are very centrally located for a trip to Hastings as we are within easy walking distance of Hastings Old Town, Hastings town centre, the station and the beach. Our street is very picturesque and we are in what is known as 'the Artists Quarter.'

About the location

Hastings is a vibrant coastal town with a lot going on! We have great beaches (with pebbles. If you want sand go down the road to Camber) and lots of history. Our Old Town is filled cafes, bars and restaurants and we have a buzzing music scene. Places to visit include the Jerwood Gallery, Smugglers Caves, Hastings Pier and the Fishermens Beach. Hastings is famous for it's many festivals which include Jack in the Green, Seafood and Wine Festival, Bonfire Night and Coastal Currents and more.

Within a short drive there are 5 medieval castles which goes to show how much has happened in this area over the years. . Easy day trips would include London, Brighton, Rye, Battle and Eastbourne. We are lucky to be surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside. Hastings Country Park has fantastic cliff top walks and nearby are many woodland walks and the Sussex Downs.
