Beautiful home in village near Montreal

Our modern house is in a residential neighbourhood forty minutes by car from downtown Montreal.

The two storey single family house, inspired by New England style, is surrounded by bicycle and hiking trails. On the ground floor the living room, dining room, kitchen open up onto a large patio with covered verandah and garden. It is agreeable to dine al fresco rain or shine. On the second floor the master bedroom has a private bath with whirlpool. The guest room also has its own bathroom. There are two offices with wifi and a piano. In between the two main floors above the garage a spacious library -tv room offers a large choice of music CDs and of reading in English, French and Spanish. The elevated completely finished basement has large windows and has another guest room with adjoining bathroom ( shower) and sitting room with television . Centrally heated and air-conditioned.
Three bicycles are at your disposition.

About the location

Saint-Lazare is a beautiful residential suburb of Montreal. It is forty minutes by car from downtown Montreal and all its activities and twenty five minutes from the Montreal airport. Almost all residents speak both French and English. With its more Anglophone neighbour on the banks of the Ottawa river , the village of Hudson, Saint-Lazare is famous for numerous horse farms and horseback riding. Riding trails ( or walking trails) cut through the villages and cycling is also very popular. There are riverside beaches and small local lakes for swimming and sunbathing.
We are an hour and a half from Ottawa , the national capital, with its museums and historical sites. We are three hours from Quebec city and its spectacular perspective on the Saint Lawrence. We are two hours from Kingston, five hours from Toronto.
