Sunny, south-facing riverside flat, in the heart of the beautiful festival city of Edinburgh.

Our home is in a quiet riverside area of central Edinburgh. The flat is bright and airy with south-facing windows in the sitting room and kitchen. It is on the second floor of a quiet, small 1980s apartment block near the Water of Leith in Stockbridge, one of Edinburgh's most village-like areas. We have three bedrooms (one king-size double bed, one child`s bedroom with a single bed, and one music/spare room with a single bed), a kitchen, a living/dining room and a bathroom.

The flat is a well-maintained family home. There is super-fast broadband with WiFi throughout the flat and a guest computer can be provided on request. Guests are welcome to play the full-sized keyboard. TV includes Netflix, Prime and Disney, as well as foreign language channels such as TV5. Bicycles and rackets for use at the free local tennis courts can be provided. We also have a dedicated parking spot that will be available for you.

About the location

We live in a leafy residential area right in the centre of Edinburgh. It`s an incredibly quiet location considering how central it is - the flat is in the middle of a complex which backs onto the river, where we see herons and occasionally even a kingfisher. We are a ten-minute walk into Stockbridge, which has a traditional high street (with fishmongers, butchers, specialist delis and lots and lots of independent shops, cafes and restaurants) and a popular farmers` market on Sundays.

We`re also right by the Botanical Gardens, close to several parks and a few hundred meters from a municipal pool, steam room and gym. There are free municipal tennis courts 10 minutes walk along the river in nearby Inverleith Park. We are near several picturesque and mostly flat cycle paths, which offer a great way to explore. We`re also near to lots of bus routes, so you can reach any area of the city easily - or in 20 minutes you can walk up to Princes Street and Waverley Station.
