Lovely 5 Bed home in Solihull, England

Our home is a lovely five bedroom detached house in Solihull, a pleasant residential town located in the centre of England. The house itself is located on a quiet residential road close to the town centre (10 min walk) with car parking on our own front drive.

The house has five bedrooms, 2 of which have king sized doubles and the other 3 are good sized singles. There is a modern bathroom with large shower, toilet and separate bath as well as 2 other separate toilets. A cot can be made available if needed. It has a nice comfortable lounge with patio doors, a modern kitchen-diner, also with patio doors out to the garden, a playroom (full of toys which you are welcome to use) and large garden. Our house has been completely renovated in the last two years and is very child-friendly. It has a sunny patio, with table and 6 chairs, and everything is safe for children and very comfortable for adults to relax in! The garden has a large trampoline, playhouse, climbing frame and slide set for children to explore.

Solihull has existed since medieval times when it was founded as a market town and it is noted for its historic architecture, which includes surviving examples of timber framed Tudor style houses and shops seen in the town centre. The local church, St Alphege, dates from a similar period and is a Grade 1 listed building. Solihull is surrounded by some of the greenest and most pleasant countryside in England. There are several glorious awarding winning parks and gardens nearby, (4 children’s play parks all less than a 15 minute walk from the house). Whether you enjoy cycling, ice skating, golf, swimming, athletics or tennis, Solihull has an excellent array of sports and leisure facilities on offer. The local leisure centre with a great swimming pool is just a 10 minute walk from our home. Solihull is great for shopping with a large shopping arcade and traditional farmers’ markets as well as a cinema, restaurants, department stores and pubs all within 10 minutes walk. There are also numerous soft play areas and children’s farms etc to visit close by if the weather is not so sunny.

Within a ten mile radius there are quaint picturesque villages, traditional pubs, beautiful countryside, walks, canals, historical places, National Trust properties and other things to explore.

My parents live less than a mile away and would be very happy to advise or help you to have the best holiday possible, you only have to ask.

Further afield, we are only a 5 minute walk from the train station and it is 12 minutes by train to the UK's second largest city - Birmingham - which offers plenty of entertainment, including theatres, concerts and a fantastic choice of restaurants. A 20 minute drive south takes you to medieval Warwick Castle and we are only 15 miles from Stratford upon Avon, the birth place of William Shakespeare where the famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre is situated on the banks of the River Avon. Solihull itself provides good access to major motorways and Birmingham International Airport is only a 15 minute taxi ride away.

Further afield, London is 90 minutes away by train, Oxford is 50 miles south, the Cotswolds, Peak District and Lake District – all areas of outstanding natural beauty, can easily be reached for a day out by car.
