Our award winning house is comfortable, spacious, well equipped and has many outdoor relaxation spaces with a barbeque, sunning terraces and pool. The place is powered by solar and therefore the bills are minimal: 25 Eruos per month total. It lends itself superbly to creative pursuits and crafts; an ideal writer's or painter's oasis retreat.

We are 10 kms away from Europe's finest beaches and town with a busy fishing harbour, market shops, restaurants, Internet cafes and upmarket boutiques that keep it vibrant and economically active market town all year round. Home-grown/organic produce can be bought at the weekly market, fish from the fishermen, bread from the baker.

The house is nestled within peaceful and pristine Cabo de Gata nature park's landscapes ranging from Lawrence of Arabia sand dunes to fertile valleys, the old gold mine, with palms, mountains and undiscovered beaches. The area boasts many pristine villages with Almeria's unique Moorish architecture and luna-style landscapes and lush mountains heading into the Alpujarras, an original Moorish spa and pine & wildflower filled valleys. Many Spaghetti westerns were made here. The area is great for nature and sports enthusiasts with walking trails, cycling, quading golf courses, spa, sauna and horse riding. Skiing a couple of hours away in Sierra Nevada, ideal with BBQ on the beach in the evening. Carboneras has Flamenco, fiestas, 4* Hotel Spa, volleyball, sailing, gyms, football, boating, and Scuba diving is fantastic. Almeria has boats to Morocco, and Alicante to Ibiza.

The property is located half way between Alicante and Marbella which both make lovely weekend excursions. Nearby there is a water park, museums and other attractions for the whole family. This is one of the last areas of coastal Spain where you still hear the working donkeys and see some of the finest night skies.
