Lovely 5 Bed home in Drewsteignton, England

Our barn is less than 100 meters from the centre of a beautiful Devon village called Drewsteignton, with a 16th century thatched pub, friendly village shop, ancient church and a gourmet restaurant run by a local chef. The house is in the Dartmoor National Park, and is 1 km from historic Castle Drogo and the Teign Valley.

The area is brilliant for walkers and there are choices of fabulous walks that start from the house and end up at the top of the breathtaking Teign Gorge or down at famous Fingle Bridge, where you can swim in the river and walk to the ancient stannery town of Chagford for lunch. Chagford also has an open air swimming pool. Dartmoor with its wild ponies is a 20 minute drive in one direction and there are horse riding facilities locally. The city of Exeter with its Cathedral and shops is only a 20 mins drive away in the opposite direction. For a day out the sandy beaches of the north Cornish Coast at Crackington Haven are less than an hour away.

The village is a central location from which to explore Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The village is friendly - especially Friday nights in the pub.
