Beautiful Villa Poyraz - Kas, Turkey

Villa Poyraz is located 10 mins drive outside the town. It is ideally situated for short drives to award winning beaches, archaeological sites, boat trips and rambling along the Lycian Way.

Please note that there are about 20 steps down to the Villa and might therefore not be suitable for all.

Kas is located where the Taurus Mountains meet the Turquoise Coast and Mediterranean sea, because of this Kas is known as The Eyebrow which makes the scenery spectacular . Warm most of the year and hot in the summer with a very temperate winter climate, Kas, the ancient port of Antiphellos has pretty cobbled streets, an attractive old harbour with picturesque gullets, ferries and local excursion boats, some with glass bottoms to enable you to view the ancient ruins of the sunken city of Simena . Kas is also ideal for diving and there are several good diving schools within the town. Also home to many Adventure/Tour Companies whose excellent tours are recommended.
The new 450 berth Marina, the third largest in Turkey is now open and you can relax in the restaurants and bars whilst watching the gullets and yachts sail by. This part of the Mediterranean is rich in history and has a huge variety of places to visit such as Phellos on the Lycian Way and Antiphellos in town, Xanthos (Lycian ruins and tombs), Myra (amphitheatre and tombs), Church of St Nicholas (home of Santa Claus), Patara which has ancient ruins, an amphitheatre and a beautiful sandy beach considered one of the most beautiful and remote beaches in the world.

Saklikent Gorge - a lovely mountain retreat with cool running rivers and restaurants serving fresh trout, perched above the water under the trees is a great place get cool in hot weather. Kaputas beach on the coast road to Kalkan is a great cove beach.

Simena is a short distance by car via Ugagiz where you can pick up a boat to Simena or take a daily boat excursion from Kas harbour.

Day trips to the Greek island of Meis are available from the harbour. Kas has a lively, vibrant fishing/diving/tourist harbour with a great selection of restaurants shops supermarkets and a local market on Fridays. There is bus depot where coaches journeys to other towns and beaches can be made.

Cukurbag Peninsula

Stretching out into the sea from Kas is the Cukurbag Peninsular where Villa Poyraz sits close to the highest point. Our Villa nestles quietly amongst the native oaks and olive trees and has an amazing view across the bay to Goseki village on the other side. The scenery is spectacular and from our verandah and pool you can watch the dolphins and porpoises swim in the bay , the wonderful sunsets or the gullets and yachts sailing by.

There are several hotels where guests can use their facilities including the restaurants, sea/beach/jetty terraces for the price of a drink or two.
