Surrounding areas are chic and trendy, especially at the weekend, with two vibrant local markets (Broadway market on Saturday, and Columbia Road on Sunday). Lots and lots of places locally to have coffee, people watch or walk in the park. An open air lido and tennis courts also available.

To get further a field and into central london there is an overground station within 1 min walk (Haggerston) which is part of the underground/tube, which connects to central london within 25 mins. 15 mins walk along the canal to 'Islington', 10 min walk 'Hoxton'/'Shoreditch', 5 min train to 'Brick Lane'/'Spitalfields'.
