This place is situated in the heart of natural park protected by UNESCO called "Cabo de Gata". The village is a typical fishing village with white washed houses and stunningly beautiful beaches with white sand and crystal clear waters. It's a paradise for scuba divers and people who love walks and nature. It is a peaceful place and a paradise for children who run around freely in this tiny village. The nearest village is San Jose and Rodalquilar where you can visit Botanical Gardens and an arqueological museum.

Almeria is famous amongst film producers, many Guiness adverts and films have been made here, such as The Last Crusade.
