Lovely 3 Bed home swap in Caernarfon, Wales

We live in the Royal Town of Caernarfon in a beautiful Victorian town house overlooking the Isle of Anglesey and the Menai Straits. We're both first language Cymraeg (Welsh) and Caernarfon is a strong hold of the native language. The County of Gwynedd is 70% Welsh speaking.

We've recently moved property and the new house is bigger than the previous one, which we had advertised on here. It just means we can accommodate more people!

Within 2 minutes walk is the bus stop and a Supermarket. The centre of town is approximately 10 minuets walk from the house. Directly in front of the house is a cycle track and we are in the perfect location to explore Snowdonia and Anglesey, the first official home of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The house is ideally situated for all local attractions including Caernarfon Castle, Plas Menai (National Water sports Centre), the world famous Portmeirion Village, National Slate Museum, Electric Mountain Power Station and endless coastal or mountain walks. Dublin is only a short distance away by ferry.

The village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is well worth a visit, if only just to get your picture taken with the big sign!

Wales has over 1,200 km of coastline. The real hidden gems of the north West coast of Wales are the beautiful beaches along the Llyn peninsula and Ynys Mon (Anglesey) in particular. The scenic Llanddwyn beach with its historical Celtic mythology is the perfect place for some romance as it is where Dwynwen was named the Welsh Saint of love.

For the more active visitors, there are many land activities to enjoy these include Climbing & Abseiling, Gorge Walking, Coasteering, 3 Peak Challenge, Mountain Walking. Now for the watersports enthusiasts, Abersoch holds Europe's largest Wakeboarding and Music Festival in July which attracts some of the worlds best Wakeboarders and bands to the region. Abersoch, Porth Neigwl in particular attracts surfers from all over the UK and is perfect if the swell is just right.

Just ten minutes walk up the road from our house is a leisure and tennis centre where you might enjoy a swim or game of tennis before breakfast!
If you fancy a thrill - they've just opened Europe's largest zipwire in Bethesda, which is only 15 minutes away.
