Lovely 5 Bed home in London, England

We have a lovely old house in one of London's most up-and-coming areas. It has high ceilings, lots of entertaining space, a sunny garden, plenty of bedrooms and a dedicated office.

The house is situated in a very quiet, tree lined street in Dalston, just North of the financial district. It is 2000 square foot, 4/5 bedrooms with a West-facing garden. The floorplan gives a general sense of the place. Since it was done we have added an office/bedroom behind the bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the second floor.

As for the local area, there is a great gastropub on the corner of our road with outside seating. It's 5 minutes walk to London Fields park, which is lovely in the summer. It has a cricket pitch and a recently renovated Victorian lido (heated outdoor swimming pool). A walk through the park brings you to Broadway Market, which is heaving with food and fashion stalls on a Saturday and has more excellent pubs and restaurants, including an Argentinian place which serves mouth-watering Argentinian steak.

Dalston is minutes away from the very fashionable Hoxton and Shoreditch on the new East London Line. Islington, which has good shopping and more restaurants, is a stone's throw to the West. The area is close to central London, giving the option of cycling in along the canal (bikes included).
