My home is a 2-storey terraced cottage (c.1900) in a quiet, pretty street in Balmain, one of Sydney's earliest and most charming harbourside suburbs and an excellent base for exploring Sydney.

The cottage is 5 km from the city centre, and a short walk to cafes, pubs, fine dining, a market, shops, PO, gym, library. It is a 5 minute walk to a harbourside park with swimming pool, (Dawn Fraser Baths) 10 minutes to the Balmain sailing club, a 13 minute walk to ferry wharf, and a short stroll to city buses.

At the rear of the house a wall of french windows opens to a sunny courtyard so you can enjoy Sydney's mild climate.

About the location

Balmain is a peninsula in Sydney harbour, with waterside parks and stunning harbour views. First colonised in the 1840s, it has many Victorian houses and convenient high street shops.
