Georgian Town House

Chestnut House was built in the 15th century but largely changed in the 18th and 19th centuries. It sits on the High street of one of Kent's prettiest villages. Four double bedrooms, two with en suite, the house has two private sun terraces and a pretty garden. Decorated with antiques and wonderful paintings. This is a lovely family home, dominated by the 40 foot music room and its grand piano. There is also a snug with a flat screen tv. The house has fast broadband wifi throughout, a kitchen with all the appliances you could wish for if you enjoy cooking.

About the location

The garden of England, fine countryside, picturesque villages, great country pubs, sandy beaches, vineyards, Apple and pear orchards, castles and ancient churches. Also the warmest part of Britain. The village of Wingham boasts two excellent pubs, a huge farm shop, two village shops, a bakery and an indian restaurant. One of the pubs is a really excellent gastropub while the other is a village centred, popular and very friendly establishment. There are regular concerts in the church and there is a bus service to Canterbury every 15 minutes. Fast train to London takes 1hr from Canterbury. The Channel tunnel is only 30 minutes drive. The sea is 15 minutes away, Wingham wildlife park is on the edge of the village and Howletts zoo is 10 minutes in the other direction.
