Cosy period Victorian cottage in central/west Scotland

Built in 1886,in the town of Helensburgh, Argyll approximately 25 miles west of Glasgow, our holiday home is a 5 minute walk from the train station and main centre & a 10 minute drive from Loch Lomond. Our lovely cottage has period features combined with modern kitchen and bathroom/shower rooms. There is a twin bedroom with wall-mounted TV (terrestrial & netflix)and 4 piece bathroom on 1st floor, double bedroom and 3 piece shower room on the ground floor off of a bright, open plan living/kitchen/dining area. The sofabed in the living room comfortably sleeps 2 adults (143 cms wide) and is easy to set up, with an integrated ottoman for storing bed linen when in use as a sofa. There is a wall-mounted TV in the living room (terrestrial & Netflix) and also good wifi throughout. Our private garden has a gravel patio area with a BBQ, table and chairs for 6 people and views to raised flower beds. There is a 3-car gated driveway with additional off-road non-gated parking for 2 cars.

About the location

Helensburgh has 2 train stations on Glasgow(45mins) and Edinburgh(90 mins) lines,the West Highlands & Islands. Helensburgh is a 40 minute drive from the historic city of Stirling & 90 minutes from the beautiful highland town of Oban. World-class golf courses are nearby, as well as sailing, hillwalking & fishing. Loch Lomond is a ten minute drive away and seaplanes leave from nearby Cameron House on trips over the stunning scenery of the west coast and the islands. There are various beautiful and safe spots to swim from on the Loch and various local watersports companies offering kayaking, wakeboarding, wateskiing and paddle boarding.
