Marseillan villa

Our house is located in a quiet neighbourhood of Marseillan, yet 10minutes walk from the town centre. It has been renovated inside recently and the garden is still undergoing improvements. It has 3 double bedrooms, a study, a kitchen/dining/living room and a studio/utility room. We have a spa in the garden as well as garden furniture.

About the location

Marseillan is a very attractive town on the Etang de Thau, second largest lake in France and known for its oysters beds and mussels. The mediterranean with its lovely long sandy beaches is about 3 miles down the road. Though very near to beach holiday resorts, Marseillan retains its character. The centre is medieval with its narrow streets, the town has developped around it in the 19th and 20th centuries. The orignial fishing port has been modernised and now host lots of restaurants and bars as well as the Noilly Prat vermouth made here. Every tuesday morning there is a busy traditional market in the old town. There is a range of shops including 2 chemists, 3 supermarkets, a dozen restaurants a few traditionnal bakers and all the facilities a modern town needs.

Further afield tourist attractions are too numerous to mention, lots of old villages and towns in the hills, beautiful countryside, lots of wine producers and the sea.

The nearest airport (20mins) is Beziers Cap D'Agde taking Ryanair flights from Luton, Standstead, Bristol, Manchester etc... Montpellier airport is 45mins with EasyJet flights from Gatwick and elsewhere in UK.
