Tigh Lisa

Tigh Lisa (meaning "Lisa's House" in English) is a delightful detached 2-storey rustic cottage with a modern addition sympathetic to the traditional style. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard and is fully equipped. Kitchen facilities include fridge/freezer, electric cooker and dishwasher. There are 2 well-furnished living rooms, one with a solid fuel stove and the other with an open fireplace. Patio doors from the kitchen and one of the living rooms lead to the garden which has a gas barbecue and garden furniture. There is a separate utility room which contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave. Tigh Lisa has two double bedrooms and two well-equipped bathrooms. A sofa bed located in one of the living rooms offers additional sleeping accommodation. Additional facilities include a TV with access to all the major Irish and UK stations plus many others, and a DVD player, as well as free WiFi access.

About the location

Tigh Lisa is situated in Dunquin, a small village ten miles west of Dingle, at the western extremity of the beautiful Dingle peninsula, South-West Ireland, overlooking the stunning Blasket Islands. This location lies directly on the "Wild Atlantic Way", a 2,500km continuous route along Ireland's magnificent west coast.

Once described by National Geographic magazine as "the most beautiful place on earth" and voted amongst the top 100 destinations in the world by Trip Advisor, the Dingle peninsula offers a wide variety of holiday attractions such as sandy beaches safe for swimming, walking routes for all abilities, a rich musical tradition, fine dining, sea angling, arts and film festivals, talented crafts-persons and some of the best surfing in Ireland. The Blasket Centre, which celebrates the world-famous literary, cultural, social and historic heritage of the Great Blasket Island, is located nearby and boat trips to the island are available from Dunquin pier. Larger towns in the general area include Tralee (35 miles), beautiful Killarney (50 miles) and Cork (100 miles).
