Newly built eco house near city centre - Nottingham

We have been house exchangers for over 20 years. It was our dream to build an eco house, and has been an exciting adventure for us. We have downsized from an old 4 bed Victorian house to this very different home on the same street so all the brilliant neighbours are familiar as is the neighbourhood.
The house is fully insulated, extremely comfortable, surprisingly spacious and warm in winter and cool in summer.
It has 3 floors - the ground floor entrance has a porch and hall way, one bedroom and an ensuite bathroom. The first floor is open plan, kitchen, dining and living room. The top floor has one bedroom which we use as a yoga, music and painting studio. This too has an ensuite bathroom. Outside there is a small patio, garden and garden room.

About the location

We are only just over 1 mile from the city centre.
Nottingham is of course known throughout the world for the famous legend of Robin Hood and Nottingham Forest F.C. The city is a thriving with creative places and many attractions including the castle, caves, art galleries, museums, historical sites, interesting architecture etc.

You can experience the exciting city life but also visit the beautiful English countryside where some fantastic walks and history can be found. We are close to the Derbyshire countryside and the Peak District National Park.

Nottingham is in the centre of England and so most places around the country can be visited within a few hours.
