Our property is a 2nd floor flat in a modernist, 70's design apartment block which stands in the former grounds of Tolkin's tutor's house! The development is quiet and the flat cozy, and fits 2 comfortably. There is a balcony to sit out on in the summer sunshine. The centre of Oxford is a 15 minute walk or 2 minute bus ride away, giving easy access to all of Oxford's historic buildings, parks, galleries and shops. We are 5 minutes walk away from Summertown in Oxford, where you will find supermarkets, restaurants, a wine cafe and an arts centre. There are nice walks not far from the flat, around the park, canal and the river (with great country pubs). Also, London is an hour away by train, making it very accessible.
