Lovely 2 Bed home in Burwash, England

Our apartment is in a converted former monastery and situated in the Sussex Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The picturesque village of Burwash is a mile away where there are local shops, pubs and Bateman's, the former home of Rudyard Kipling.

The small complex of 15 apartments has lovely gardens with a sun terrace and an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, a tennis court, a table tennis table, small gym and a snooker room with a full size table. These leisure facilities are little used by other residents.

There is one double and one twin bedroom each with en-suite bathroom. The comfortable living room has TV, DVD, video and CD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooker and microwave.

There are excellent walks in beautiful countryside right on the doorstep and cycle rides too, so long as you don't mind hills! Many National Trust castles, gardens and other places well worth visiting are all close by - Bateman's, Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst, Sheffield Park, Penshurst Place, Michelham Priory, Hever Castle. Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne and Hastings are within easy reach for shopping, sight seeing and beaches.

A car is essential for getting around as its quite isolated. In order to preserve the peaceful nature of the property and for the convenience of other residents, I'm afraid we don't consider it suitable for children.
