There is an extensive collection of books about Tasmania with track notes and maps for sufficient day trips and longer excursions to last a month. There is no TV or mobile phone coverage; payphone and internet access are available in the village 200 yards away. Full shopping is at Rosebery, 8 miles away.
Tullah(250 people) is ideal for day trips to Western Tasmanian tourist icons such as Zeehan, Queenstown, Strahan and the Gordon River, with Cradle Mountain National Park less than 1 hour away.
Eastern Tasmanian destinations such as Freycinet Peninsula/Wineglass Bay, Hobart and Port Arthur can be reached with an easy, scenic 1 day drive.
