Sorted for summer 2021

We had a swap lined up for 23-31 Aug but the other family probably now have Covid. Anyone out there in a simialr position want to do a last-minute swap? We are 2 families, 9 in total.

Our house is a large cottage in a quarter acre garden on the edge of the village: fields on three sides and views across to the hills from the breakfast room.

Four bedrooms: I double (with en-suite); one single with single slatted pullout chair/bed; one with single plus 4` sofa bed (slatted Dunlopillo): one with single bed and single slide-out bed underneath; 3 reception rooms (one with piano). Dining room seats 10. Large kitchen/breakfast room (also seats 10) with large window onto allotments and hills, dishwasher, washing machine (no drier), Aga plus electric cooker for when it`s too warm to have the Aga on. Lots of books and toys, cot available. Large garden with swing seat, and treehouse. 10` unheated freestanding pool in the summer. Patio with furniture.

About the location

Less than a mile from the foot of the Mendip Hills , 15 mins from Cheddar with its stunning Gorge, 30 mins from Wells (a `village city` with a beautiful Gothic cathedral), Bristol (the regional centre), and Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare (seaside resorts), 45 mins from historic Bath, a UNESCO world heritage centre. Great area for a varied holiday: country walks, beaches, ancient cities, lovely villages.
