House is two miles from spectacular beaches (with the Cape's famous dunes), 1-2 miles from beautiful fresh-water ponds (which tourists call "lakes" as they are extremely large), and 1-2 miles from the bay and busy fishing pier.

Due to many art galleries, Wellfleet is known as the "art-gallery town of Cape Cod." There is also an esteemed local theater, WHAT: Wellfleet Habour Actor's Theater, and good restaurants, from high-end to casual. Wellfleet is world famous for its delicious oysters.

House is one-half mile from historic town. (Many structures have been preserved by the Wellfleet Historical Society.)

House is 15 miles from funky, trendy Provincetown (great for people watching and nightlife) and 30 miles from Hyannis (shopping and the Kennedy compound). There is ferry service from Provincetown to Boston.

Activities include swimming, tennis, golf, biking/walking trails, fishing, sailing, kayaking, whale-watching cruises, a modern gym, children's playground, skateboard park, cinema, drive-in movie theatre and a truly fantastic local library, which is less than a half mile from the house.
