Almost new luxury lodge located in a 5 star holiday resort on the banks of Lake Windermere. Ideal base for exploring the lake district and easily accessible by public transport via Windermere train station and very regular bus services.
The property is 40ft by 16ft in size with a decking area at the front with a lake view, and a massive decking area at the side of the property. It is located in an elevated location in the holiday park with woods to the side and rear, where deer are regularly seen. There is ample parking next to the lodge for at least two cars.
The lodge has 2 double bedrooms, and two bathrooms - one with a bath and one with a shower (ensuite). There is also a two seater settee which folds down into another double bed in the lounge if needed.
The lounge has a 3 seater and 2 seater settee, with a large flat screen tv mounted on the wall and is connected to a dvd player/recorder. Some Sky channels are available. There is hi-fi unit with a large selection of cds and vinyl records.
The kitchen is fully fitted with a double cooker/hob, combination microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher. The site has a laundrette.
The dining table has 4 chairs, as ideally this lodge would suit 2 couples.
Outside there is bbq, patio furniture, patio heater and lots of bird feeders - the bird life is very good.
The lodge has central heating and double glazing.
There is a wide selection of walking and other books, dvds, maps and games available for visitors to use.
The holiday park is called White Cross Bay website www.slholidays.co.uk/White-Cross-Bay/ . It has an indoor swimming pool, marina, restaurant, gym, bar, tennis courts, childrens play area, boat launching facilities etc.
The surrounding area is beautiful with spectacular views from lodge of the mountains. A good network of public transport makes other parts of the lakes easy to visit without a car and there are several walks straight from the lodge. It is situated in troutbeck bridge between Windermere and Ambleside.
We rent the lodge out during the summer holidays and often in the half terms breaks too - so we are unable to offer exchanges at those times unless members wish to rent the property from me and, in which case, a 20% discount from the brochure price will be offered. It is described by White Cross Bay as a "super duluxe lodge" in terms of renting. The site is open from 1st March to mid-January.

We have another lodge on the same site which has 3 bedrooms, which we will also swap or rent out. The lodge has 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and 1 single bedroom - so will take up to 5 people. It is possible to swap both properties at the same time for larger groups.
