I`ve got a lovely Spanish/art deco two-story house with high ceilings, fireplace, piano, and lots of California sunshine. Two double bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, and an office. Native plant garden in front. Fruit trees, veggies, avocados, and berries in the back garden.
Venice Beach is a five minute drive west; Santa Monica ten minutes north. 30 minutes north are the Santa Monica Mountains; 30 minutes in other directions take you to the Getty Museum, Disney Hall, more museums, Rodeo Drive, etc.
LA is full of natural beauty. Borrow my bike and ride 30 miles along the beach on Santa Monica Bay. Surf or sail all year round. It rarely rains here (unfortunately), and you can expect warm weather and sunshine nearly all the time.
