Our house is a newly built 3 storey family home in Stone, Staffs; a pretty canal town with a good range of shops and restaurants. Larger shopping and entertainment centres are at Stafford (5 miles), and Stoke-on Trent (7 miles); regular buses run to both.
Stafford’s attractions include a castle and an award winning Victorian park; by train from here, Birmingham is 45 mins, Manchester, 60 mins and London, 80 mins. Stoke hosts Pottery factory shops and museums including Wedgewood. Other nearby attractions include Shugborough stately home (10 miles), the Peak District (20 miles), and Alton Towers theme park (20 miles). We are five mins from the M6 motorway. Manchester and Birmingham airports are within an hour; Heathrow, approx. 2 hrs away.
