Situated in a quiet lane on the edge of the highest village in the Sierra de Aracena, parts of our house date back 300 years. It has been sympathetically restored to give modern convenience whilst retaining the old ambiance. The area is famous for its walks, wildlife and history. Castano del Robledo is designated a village of "artistic and historical importance" and retains the medieval layout and building from its heyday of 1550 to the early 1800's. It is situated amongst forest of cork oak and sweet chestnut.

The house has a 50m2 patio with plants and a plum tree and we also own a huerta (orchard) of just under one acre 3 mins walk down a country track.
