Lovely 2 Bed home in Montolieu, France

Ours is a comfortable historic house in the centre of a charming village near the renowned medieval walled city of Carcassonne. The house is filled with character and features a beamed dining room, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a spacious lounge. There is a dvd player and the television receives all the UK Freeview channels.
On the ground floor there is a small patio, whilst upstairs one of the bedrooms opens onto a terrace with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. A travel cot is also provided and children of all ages are welcome.

Montolieu itself is an attractive village situated in the foothills of the Montagne Noire, yet only 12 km from the airport at Carcassonne. It contains a number of bookshops, grocery, baker, wine cave, two restaurants and a cafe/bar/pizzeria. There are lakes within easy reach for swimming and fishing, and opportunities for boating on the Canal du Midi. As well as the famous city of Carcassonne there are many stunning Cathar castles to visit.
The nearest beaches are a 45 minute drive, the Pyrenees about 90 minutes and you could reach Barcelona in 3
hours.
