Selfoss is close to a whole range of exciting Icelandic attractions such as Geysir, Gullfoss, the Thingvillir National Park (site of the first parliament) and the Westmann Islands. it is also a short drive from Reykjavik. Selfoss is a small friendly town with all the necessary shops and facilities. Like most towns it has a lovely warm water outdoor swimming pool. There are a couple of restautants and others in the vicinity. Near to the town you can go horse-riding, fishing, canoing, swimming and there is is a golf course. You are ideally placed to explore Iceland's wonderful scenery as well as being a short distance from the vibrant capital, Reykjavik.
