It is surrounded by similar properties but is in the heart of Waikanae. We are 1km from a safe swimming beach and 3 from the shops. Kapiti Island, a native bird sanctuary, is off the coast and open to visitors.There is a beautiful river walk at the end of the road down to the beach and horse riding just round the corner. Wellington, the capital city, is 50 mins drive. The Sth Island offers some of the best scenery in the world and Rotorua in the Nth Island has fascinating thermal areas. We are an hour's drive from the Wairarapa wine area and 3 from the ski fields. We would leave our car for use.
