Casa Paxanax - Lake Atitlan, Guatemala

Casa Paxanax is located right on the lakeside of Lake Atitlan & close to Santa Cruz, a Mayan indigenous village. The house is nestled at the bottom of the mountains and, whichever way you look, the view has to be one of the most spectacular in the world.

The house has an open-plan kitchen & sitting room, with a cosy fireplace. It has 2 bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom downstairs, and a bedroom upstairs. There is also a huge covered open air patio outside, which doubles the size of the house!! All rooms face the Lake, and you have an incredible view of several volcanoes, including Volcano Atitlan. Enjoy picking your own bananas, papayas, and lemons from our huge colourful garden. Great place if you enjoy natural beauty, privacy, and walking.

The house and village are only accessible by boat (about 10 minutes boat ride from the larger town of Panajachel). Within 10 minutes (walking) distance you will find 3 or 4 restaurants to eat out. Both the Gringo and indigenous neighbours are very friendly.

Make use too of the retreat center, just 3 minute walk away (www.villasumaya.com) which offers yoga classes, meditations, massages and other treatments. Other classes offered are art classes...
