Lovely 5 Bed home in DIVES-SUR-MER, FRANCE
Our house is situated in the historical village of Dives-sur-Mer which William, duke of Normandy, left from in 1066 to conquer England. Pretty and quiet, with a market twice a week, the village is 2 km away from the beautiful towns and beaches of Cabourg (Marcel Proust) and Houlgate. The near countryside, called Vallée d'Auge, is charming with a lot of interesting villages, castles, churches.
Caen is about 20 km away: it has to be seen with the Abbaye des Hommes (William's tomb) and Abbaye des Femmes (Mathilde's grave). A day-tour allows the visit of the D-day sites. One may enjoy numerous sport activities, for children and adults (sailing, swimming, golf, tennis, horse riding, karting, walking, etc.)
