Located in the heart of Canada`s capital in a converted blue jeans factory, the loft-style accommodation offers one large bedroom and den, along with open concept living, dining and kitchen areas, high ceilings and lots of exposed brick. The kitchen has General Electric fridge and convection stove with a large island for meal preparation and a built-in dishwasher. An in-unit one piece washer/dryer uses a heat pump for drying. The teak dining table extends and seats six.

There is a cosy gas fireplace for cool Canadian evenings. Large windows overlook the Trillium bike path which follows the Rideau Canal all the way to Parliament Hill.

A flower-filled balcony has table and chairs for morning coffee and outdoor dining.

The condo features comfortable MCM style furniture and interesting Canadian and international art work.

The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and lots of closet space.

There is a den with computer and guitars for your enjoyment and a self-inflating single bed for an extra guest.

Outdoor parking is available if you will be renting a car. Two bicycles (one an e-bike) are available for your use.

About the location

Nearby Preston Street offers restaurants, cafes, live comedy and repertory theatres. Two light rail stations linking you to all parts of the city are each a five minute walk away.

Also a short walk is Dows Lake, offering kayaking, pedal boats and swimming in summer and the world`s longest skating rink in the winter. Beside the lake is Commissioner`s Park, home of the annual Tulip Festival in May and part of Winterlude each February.

Ottawa also hosts two major music festivals, Bluesfest in July and CityFolk in September.

Montreal and Quebec, two charming old cities are 2 and 4 hours by car, the United States border just an hour. Toronto and Niagara Falls may be reached in a day.
