Beautiful trees. The front is also private, with a small pond and garden rockery. Hemer Park is down the road, with many walking trails, 2 lakes, and 1 hour to an ocean marina. It is inhabited by Canada Geese, swans, ducks, mink, squirrels, etc. We are also very close to the Nanaimo River, and I have 2 lightweight river kayaks to explore the river in. There is skiing on world famous Mt. Washington, 1 1/2 hr. away by car, or bus. Cedar is a rural community with all amenities, and 15 minutes drive to the Harbour city, Nanaimo, which is central Vancouver Island. Capital city Victoria is just over 1 hr. by car. Beaches, mountains, islands, ocean, and forests make Vancouver Island a major tourist destination. Airport and B.C. Ferries are all very close. Fishing, skiing, swimming, horseback riding and more availiable nearby.
