An 18th century semi-detached village house, with lots of character. We have 2 double/twin bedrooms and a mezzanine level with sofa bed. The house has exposed beams, stone walls, and a lovely tranquil atmosphere. There is a shady garden and views from upper rooms to the Pyrenees. We are 10 minutes walk from the historic Canal du Midi, where cycles can be hired. The village of Montferrand itself is an ancient hilltop village with far-reaching views to Pyrenees and Black Mountains. Toulouse and Carcassonne are both half an hour's drive away; there is tennis in the village, swimming, sailing and windsurfing at Lac Ganguise, 10 minutes' drive away; the Mediterranean is an hour's drive away; Pyrenees are about 2 hours' drive.
