Our country home is located in a small hamlet about 2km outside of Doudeville « la capitale du lin » (the home of linen), in an agricultural region known for flax fields and dairy farms, about 20 min. from the coast by car. Our garden (1/2 acre) is full of fruit trees (apples, pears, cherries), flowers (daffodils, tulips or roses depending on the season), strawberries, raspberries, bird houses & feeders.
Some of our favorite outings in the region are Veules-les-Roses, a picturesque little seaside village (20 min.), the 9+9 hole (pitch & putt/full-size) golf course in Ermenouville (10-15 min., more serious golfers will find several 18-hole courses within a 20-30 min. radius) and Jumièges abbey (30-40 min.). Doudeville is within walking distance, but a car is definitely recommended. Paris is a mere 2h away by train, no car needed.

Doudeville is located about 20 min. from the coast in Upper Normandy, a beautiful, peaceful, agricultural region known for cheese, apple cider and seafood. Doudeville itself is known for the fields of flax surrounding it that turn the countryside bright blue at the beginning of summer.
