Only 60km (48miles) from Dublin and Rosslare ferryport, Carlow is the ideal location for a holiday in Ireland. Dublin is 70 mins by train or road while the mediaeval city of Kilkenny is nearby 30kms (24Miles) and Viking city, Waterford is 60kms (48 miles) away. Carlow is situated on the river Barrow (Ireland's second largest river) and nearby are the scenic Blackstairs Mountain range. A short distance to the east are the spectacular Wicklow Mountains. Both are fantastic for those interested in hill walking and hang gliding. Carlow is a university town with two third level institutions. It is surrounded by Ireland's most famous golf courses, Mount Wolseley, Mount Juliet, the K.Club, host to the Ryder Cup for 2006. Excellent shopping and a wide variety of restaurants will more than please any visitor. In summer, Carlow and the surrounding villages are famous as the floral centre of Ireland. Nearby, Leighlinbridge village is the European winner of the Entende Floral 2003. Our home is warm, cosy and very welcoming. Any visitor will feel very comfortable with all the comforts of home at their disposal.
