Located in the Lamarck Caulaincourt area of the 18th arrondissement – an excellent area for the “Real Paris”, this apartment is in a great position to explore Montmartre. You can actually walk straight up our road which takes you directly to the Sacré Coeur in fifteen minutes. In ten minutes you can be in the lively Abbesses area, the setting for the film ‘Amelie’ – where you can even enjoy a drink at the bar she worked in!

Located on the third walk up floor of a typical Parisian stone building, the apartment itself comprises two rooms: a living area with open plan kitchen and a double bedroom, both with a large bright window overlooking the courtyard. Retaining many of its original 'haussmanfeatures like the turn of the century fireplace in the bedroom, the décor is modern bohemian in style.

The Apartment sleeps 4 comfortably, (the sofa bed in the living area opens out into a double bed with a 5 inch mattress and is extremely comfortable to sleep on). There is a shower room with sink and toilet and a large mirrored cupboard in the main room.

You will find some interesting features like our collection of 100 quality DVD's and collectible 'vintagefilm posters which adorn the walls. In fact if you are a film buff (like us!) this is the apartment for you. You will be staying in a real home from home, complete with a Parisian film setting.

The surrounding area is lively without being too busy; the apartment is completely silent by night and for those of you interested in the culinary aspect of French life, you can virtually walk out of the front door to a choice of local patisseries, boulangeries, fromageries delicatessens and wine shops.

Directly opposite the apartment is a busy and much frequented authentic Parisian restaurant, serving top quality French cuisine. This is one of many restaurants in the direct vicinity of the apartment.

If you feel like something more lively and bustling then take a short fifteen minute walk over the Montmartre Cemetery bridge to 'Place de Clichy– home to a multitude of bars, cafes, restaurants, an international cinema, theatres (Chicago!) and of course a stones throw from 'The Moulin Rouge'.

Location
Directly outside is the 95 bus stop. The Parisian bus service is superb as you never wait more than five minutes for a bus. The bus route is quite simply fantastic and any journey you take will cost you no more than one Euro. My advice is forget the over priced tourist buses and simply get on the 95, it will take you on a great tour of the right and left bank.

In less than ten minutes, the 95 bus will take you to Boulevard Haussman for the famous department stores Printemps and Galeries Lafayettes, stay in the bus a little longer and it will take you directly to the Louvre. Alight at the Louvre for Rue de Rivoli and enjoy a leisurely stroll to 'Place de la Concordewalking up the Champs Elysee to the ‘Arc de Triomphe’ or from the rue de Rivoli you could also turn left heading east towards Chatelet, ‘Notre Dame’ and the trendy 'Maraisdistrict. Or just stay on the bus and head south to the left bank and St Germain des-Prés.

If you prefer to explore Paris by metro, 'Lamarck Caulaincourtis a short walk up the Rue Lamarck. See this authentic Parisian metro station prior to your visit in the “Amelie” scene where the main character is leading the blind man along the road - filmed on Rue Lamarck, the metro she enters is 'Lamarck Caulaincourt.'
