Our home is at Mt Coolum on the beautiful Sunshine Coast 90 minutes north of Brisbane, Queensland. The house is low set with three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom one single. The media room has two double "sofa beds". As well as being only 200 metres from a lovely surf beach, we have a lap pool. Gardens and surrounds are nicely landscaped. The house is furnished to a high quality. The kitchen is fitted with european appliances.

There are some fine restuarants within 2 kilometres of our home. Bike track, parks and boating are also within our immediate vicinity. We have two well maintained bikes and also two sets of golf clubs. We have just purchased a two person kayak.

Mt Coolum is about 20 kilometres south of Noosa. To the west, there are mountains and some pretty towns centred around dairying, arts and craft, fine food and breathtaking scenery. We have two good golf courses within walking distance. The smaller Mt Coolum golf course is very picturesque and you will see kangaroos and other wildlife as you enjoy a game of golf. There are many lovely beaches both north and south of Mt Coolum but our own beach - Boardwalk Beach is hard to beat.

We have a an AUDI Q5 that may be offered as part of the exchange. We also have a Mazda 3. You can easily drive to Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland. Brisbane has much to offer - museums, art galleries, theatre, shopping, dining and lovely river walks. You may like to go north to Fraser Island which, although not on the Barrier Reef, is the largest sand island in the world and is a world class tourist attraction.

About the location

Our area is a quiet residential are adjoining a magnificent surf beach. See the Dolphins s and whales in season and loggerhead turtles nesting, again in the right season. There is a large duck pond for little ones (and not so little) to enjoy. The houses in our area all reflect an upmarket beach environment and have all been built within the last five years. Overlooking the area, and i. Direct view of our house is Mt. Coolum itself which provides a stimulating walk to the top and great views. There is a local shopping centre with a small supermarket plus butcher, pharmacy, doctors, coffee shop, fish shop and liquor shop. A few kilometres away are larger shopping centres and supermarkets.
There are many other beach areas nearby and the top resort centre, Noosa, is 30 minutes away with its many top quality restaurants and a beautiful beach as well as a great walking track out to a headland past pretty 'cove' beaches.A few kilometres west and one is the country or in the mountains with the lovely villages and great views over the coastal area. Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin) is just 30 minutes away and is a 'must see' for any visitor. Underwater World is another must see at Mooloolaba, Just 15 minutes away. The seafood markets at Mooloolaba would challenge any in the world. Brisbane, the state capital is one and a half hours away. This modern sub-tropical city offers much.In the centre of the city is Southbank parklands with its beach, restaurants, markets and lively weekend scene. West End, within walking distance of the city is a hub of restaurants. You can explore Brisbane on the water using the City Cat ferry. The city centre has all the shopping you could expect from a large city. There are two large botanical gardens and you can enjoy a tour of Brisbane on the City Tour bus. From Mount Cootha you get a 360 degree view over the city and you can enjoy a light casual lunch at the kiosk or a more formal meal at the restaurant.
