Our home is a quaint mid 19th century detached cottage set in the tranquil village of Murthly in the heart of Highland Perthshire. The Cottage has a sitting room with hearth and wood burning stove and French windows that lead out to a raised decking area and garden, separate tv room, open plan kitchen/dining room, three bedrooms, a utility room, a downstairs shower room and an upstairs bathroom. Ideal for couples or a family the Cottage (which is the oldest house in the village) is perfectly located only 8 miles north north east of Perth where there are an array of shops, leisure activities, restuarants, sports and a cinema. In the village there is a super new restaurant and bar and a local Nisa convenience store. We are also only 5 miles from the historic village of Dunkeld recently recognised as one of the most desirable locations to live in Scotland. There is an excellent and regular bus service to Perth City and beyond. The bus stop is literally round the corner from the house over a hundred or so yards away. But if you want to stay in doors we have Netflix, Apple TV, Prime, Disney, and the other usual iPlayer channels to keep you amused.

About the location

We live in the big tree country. Lots of glorious trees and countryside. Frankly, there is something for everyone here. We live on the outer periphery of the highlands with all the glory of the Scottish landscape and the enviable convenience of access to all the things most of us want and like.
