Well Cottage

Our home, a stone built cottage, set in the Cotswolds, is 200 years old, end of terrace and recently renovated & extended.

We have a driveway suitable for 3 cars. The garage is not for parking.

We have 2 bedrooms with double beds & the master bedroom with a king-size bed.
This room has 2 temporary wardrobes. Built-in wardrobes are Mike`s winter `23 project!
The upstairs bathroom has a bath & shower above the bath. The stairs are slightly steep cottage style.

The lounge has a TV, twin 2 seater sofas and access to the garden.
We`re sorry but the log burner is not to be used.

The ground floor also has a double bedroom & shower bathroom.

The house is entered via the kitchen/diner which has a table to seat 6 people, cooker & microwave. The utility cupboard off the kitchen houses the washing machine.

The garden being south facing is very sunny & totally enclosed.
Garden benches, chairs, a table & sun umbrella are all available.

We would consider well behaved pets.

About the location

We live in old Bussage, about 5 miles east of Stroud town centre or a one hour cross country walk away!

London is 1.5 hours away by train & Bristol, Bath & Cheltenham, one hours drive away.

Being away from main roads, old Bussage is in a very quiet location, with many beautiful walks possible straight from our door. Toadsmoor Valley just below us has lakes, woods & a sheep farm and has a footpath route all the way to Bisley.

A local post office & store, mini Tesco, chemist, Chinese takeaway & 2 pubs serving food, are all within a 5 minute drive.

A local green is a 5 minute walk up the lane & has a children`s play area, a skate park & boule pitch. We have a 3 & 4 set.

Stroud has indoor & outdoor swimming pools, sports facilities, a museum, theatre, Subscription Rooms live show venue, music pubs including a canal-side brewery, a flourishing Saturday farmer`s market, many coffee shops & a wonderful walking route along the canal.
