By the Beach

Beautiful Victorian home, built in 1900, only 50 metres from the dunes and beach in the holiday town of Nairn - the Highland Playground. Close to the harbour and all the activities relating to sea, sand, beach and water you can think of.

We love our house, with its large airy rooms and easy outdoor space with ample seating and table space for up to 8 people. The garden is small but beautiful with plenty non-challenging gardening activity if you like plants, flowers and trees. Additionally, we have an allotment a 20-minute walk away where you can pick your own fruit and vegetables in season........and do some watering if you feel like it. We are happy to reciprocate with any swaps we do.

The two bedrooms are extremely comfortable, with a super-king bed in one bedroom and king bed in the other. Additionally, there is a double sofa bed in the music room upstairs. We both love to cook so the kitchen is full of useful stuff and designed for easy prep and cook. Both the sitting room and the extended kitchen-dining-sunroom have lovely easy to use log burning stoves.
We provide a great selection of canoes, kayaks, body boards and wetsuits for outdoor activities. From the harbour (with its lovely cafe) you can go on dolphin, seal and wildlife trips and enjoy extensive walks along the east and west beaches.

About the location

Nairn is famous for its two championship links golf courses and is close to the famous Whisky Trail. Inverness airport is 10 miles away and Inverness city itself is 6 miles past the airport. You can drive to the west coast in 1.5 hours. Skiing on Cairngorm mountain is an hour`s drive away. There are local high street shops, an independent Theatre, restaurants, cafes and pubs all within walking distance and yet our house is quietly tucked away in the old Fishertown area of Nairn.
