Family Home in St. Louis Suburbs

Our home was built in 2005 and is located in a quiet, safe suburban neighborhood surrounded by forest. The first 2 stories are finished spaces totaling 1686 sq ft. Including our unfinished basement, the total size of our home is 2822 sq ft. Master bedroom is located on the main level and includes an on-suite bath. The other 2 bedrooms, playroom, and another full bath are upstairs. Large outdoor 2-level deck space with pergola houses a large barbecue grill and outdoor seating. 2 car garage, but only able to park one vehicle inside at this time. Driveway can accommodate 2 more vehicles.

BEDS: Shown in our photos is a king size bed, a toddler bed, and a crib. If needed, we also have a queen bed that can pull out from storage and set up in place of the crib or in the open basement. The white toddler bed can be extended to a twin size bed, if needed. The railing can be removed from the crib to make it a toddler friendly bed. An inflatable toddler bed may be available (if we`re not taking it with us).

BASEMENT: Includes an extra deep freezer, sewing machine, serger, and treadmill.

Across the river in Illinois, Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site is a must see for history buffs. It is the site of a pre-Columbian Native American city (which existed circa 1050–1350 CE). Cahokia Mounds is considered the largest and most complex archaeological site north of the great pre-Columbian cities in Mexico. It is also one of only 23 UNESCO World Heritage Sites within the United States. The site is located 40 minutes from our home. Free admission to museum and site. Free guided tours are also available. The St. Louis Cathedral Basilica was completed in 1914 and boasts a dazzling array of beautiful mosaics. Admission is free. Here is a video about the cathedral: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOUxNQJS97k

There are several day and weekend trips nearby. Please see our photos for more details. Chicago is also 5 hours away by car and is an amazing city to visit (we lived there during Tina`s college days and can provide information on the best sites). Branson, Table Rock lake, and the Ozarks are 3.5 hours away and is a very popular weekend getaway. There are several wineries in this region, many about 1 hour away.

While you`re in St. Louis, don`t forget to try our toasted raviolis and Ted Drew`s frozen custard (a specialty in our region)!
