Beautiful private riverside location - heart of historic Ludlow

My house is an early Victorian end of terrace three-storey gem. It`s beautiful to look at and beautiful to be in. The house has many period features and it is full of light during the day and at night is really cosy. There`s a wonderful master bedroom at the top with an en-suite bathroom and the second bedroom on the first floor has an adjacent shower room. The second bedroom has a folding bed that sleeps 2 comfortably. The ground floor is a semi-open plan living/ dining/kitchen area. The house is centrally heated and there is also a gas fire in the living room. There is Freesat satellite TV. The garden overlooks the river and the only sound you hear are birds during the day and owls at night. The lane that the house is in is the end one of a small terrace, which is private and off the main street. The house seems to be in the heart of the country but it is only a five-minute walk from the centre of town. There is parking in the street and the station is a ten minute walk away. I have a friendly cat who will need looking after but if you want to take a trip somewhere there are neighbours who will feed her.

About the location

Historic Ludlow is renowned for its fascinating history which is visible in the ancient castle with its links to royalty and the many historic buildings which are still in use. It has many independent shops and a market on most days along with traditional butchers, bakers and grocers` shops. It has over 400 listed buildings in its town centre and many pubs and restaurants to choose from. Ludlow is nestling in the most beautiful countryside in England. A huge forest straddles the south side of the town affording fabulous walks and spectacular scenery. Wales and Scotland are accessible and road links, although not fast, are a pleasure to drive. It is quite possible (by driving to a station) to do a trip to London and back in a day. The nearest motorway is an hour away with a beautiful drive to get there. Manchester, Cardiff, Shrewsbury and Hereford are all directly accessible by train and London is only one change on the train from Ludlow. Buses serve all the surrounding places but aren`t as frequent or reliable.
