Skansen, Swedish living in a small market town

Our house arrived from Sweden on two enormous lorries in 1990. It is of traditional Swedish wood construction and had all the characteristics you would expect in this type of construction. It is quiet and comfortable with wood in evidence everywhere and large trip,e glazed windows.

There is a large dining kitchen, living room, shower room and a double bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs is one large double beaded room and one smaller twin bedded room plus an office, a large landing TV / yoga area and a second shower room.

There is a pretty garden with veg. patch, shrubs and flowers. Parking on the drive for two vehicles.

We are at the southern extremity of Ross and there are various footpath walks into town all of which take about 20 minutes to get from here to the centre.

About the location

Ross on Wye is in the borderland between England and Wales. The border has changed several times over the centuries so there is a mix of English and Welsh influence here.
The topography is interesting, with many links to Norman castles and the Knights Templar.
