Nice location, easy for city centre, great for families home swap
Part of a Victorian tenement, we renovated the flat a little over a year ago to make a comfortable home for our family. The generous room sizes makes it a spacious flat to live in and our neighbours are great too. The flat is on the first floor with entry via a security door. At the back is a shared garden with a trampoline and space to run around.
With four bedrooms (3 singles and a King), it comfortably sleeps 5 but there is also a truckle bed and sofa bed in the lounge so it can accommodate 8. Two of the bedrooms are decorated with the children in mind - one a princess palace and the other a pirates retreat (complete with mid-platform bed with slide). The King (Master) has an ensuite shower room and a TV with chrome cast. There is also a separate family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
There is central heating throughout, and the lounge has a wood burner to make it extra cosy. There is also wireless wifi and Sky TV with all sport, kids and movie channels.
The kitchen is a large dining kitchen with the usual mod cons including a dishwasher. A separate utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and internal line.
A friendly and family orientated area, Victoria Park is great for walks with dog, is a junction point for the cycle network and has great play parks, tennis and basketball courts too.
We have two children (aged 2 and 6) so there are plenty of toys, there is a a trip trap chair and also a booster seat (over 6months) for feeding for 6 months plus.
The flat is served by regular buses (7, 11, 14, 21) going to the centre. Princess street is 2 miles away so it's pretty easy to get in and out of town. Free on street parking is also available outside the flat.
About the location
Trinity is a district of northern Edinburgh, Scotland, once a part of Greater Leith (itself a part of the city since 1920). It's location, leafy outlook and period houses, makes it one of the more desirable neighbourhoods of Edinburgh. Victoria Park adds to the area's amenities as do a large number of cycle paths and walkways derived from the city's disused northern suburban railway lines. It's a favourite with families and with good connections into the city centre and bars and restaurants at The Shore, it easy to see why it is popular.
