About the location

We are between the area of Cabra and the village of Stoneybatter, where there are a range of cafes, pubs (Walshe's - contender for best pint of Guinness in Dublin, music on Monday nights), award-winning pub grub (Mulligan's) and shops both modern and traditional. A large supermarket (Tesco) and range of shops (chemist, off-licence) is a 3 minutes walk towards Cabra, while Dublin city centre is only a 10 minute bus ride away (with a bus stop right outside gate). The bus brings you directly to all the attractions including Trinity College, Chester Beatty Library, Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green, O'Connell Street etc.

Walking into the city centre is also an option and takes about half an hour, bringing you through the pedestrian beautiful new Grangegorman DIT college campus en route.

The Phoenix park (one of Europe's largest walled parks) is 10 minutes walk away with Dublin Zoo, People's Park, Aras an Uachtaran, Farmleigh, the Visitor's Centre and 707 acres of woodland and walks.

Museums such as IMMA (Irish Modern Art) and Collins Barracks are within walking distance, as is the Guinness Storehouse and Jameson distillary.

The Botanic Garden's and Glasnevin cemetery are a half hour walk northwards.

Smithfield Square is about 15 minutes walk down the hill, and is home to the Lighthouse cinema as well as the Cobblestone pub with nightly live Irish music and weekly American bluegrass sessions. There is a new gourmet fish and chip shop (fishbar) south of Smithfield square opposite the tragically hip Dice Bar.
