4 Bed, 3 Bathroom Victorian Semi on edge of village adjacent to South Downs National Park and close to Glyndebourne Opera House home swap

It's a semi-rural, recently renovated, 4 bed Victorian Semi.

We love the house with its open-plan kitchen/dining room opening onto the mature garden, and a cosy living room with wood burner for when the nights draw in, as well as its semi-rural setting.

The house was refurbished and extended recently and we have a big (25 feet by 20) open plan dining/kitchen, downstairs loo, family bathroom with bath and a powerful walk-in shower, and an en suite to the main bedroom.

There are three double bedrooms (two with double beds, one with two singles that the kids sleep in) and one bedroom which is used as an office but could be used as a single bedroom.

There is off street parking in the drive for two cars, a small front garden and a 30 metre long secluded back garden with patio, veg plot, tree house & mature trees. Great for for kids to muck about in.

Our house is nice and we look after it, and though clean and tidy, we are not cleanliness and tidiness obsessives.

About the location

We're on the edge of the village - the with local amenities are in walking distance - a swimming pool, a convenience store, a bakers, an Indian Restaurant, a Fish & Chip shop, a Cafe, a Pub.

We're on several bus routes including to Lewes (10 mins) and Brighton (1 hour).

Lewes is very picturesque with a great independent high street and much quirk, good pubs, loads of antique shops, food market on Saturdays, open air swimming pool set in parkland and loads of restaurants. A great place to potter about in.

There are great walks from the house - north into the Weald or south onto the Downs, which are a ten minute walk away. You can walk over Malling Down into Lewes in about an hour which is an exhilarating yomp in any weather.

Trains from Lewes to London (approx 1 hour) and Gatwick Airport (approx half and hour).

There's so much to do round here for all ages. There are great day trips by car - Birling Gap, Seven Sisters Country Park, Brighton, Hurstmonceaux Science Centre, Charleston House....the list is a long one. Or you can get the bus to Eastbourne, Lewes, or Brighton.
