Coochiemudlo Island House home swap

My home is a Queenslander on Coochiemudlo Island. It is a high built house (steps up to living area) with a large living room and verandah. The three bedrooms are of reasonable size and children could share, if needing to accommodate more than two. The house is wooden, very easy care with a small lawn and some tropical plants. There is one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It is fairly simple and very easy to live in. Heating is not usually necessary but electric heaters are available for use in unseasonably cold weather in July/August. The house is in street of owner-occupied houses and would be suitable for quiet professionals or families.

About the location

Coochiemudlo Island is one of the Morton Bay Islands. A small tropical island with sandy beaches, only 10 minutes ferry ride from Victoria Point. The island is idyllic and safe. Traffic is minimal. The islanders are friendly and we have found it a great community to live in. However, the island is not isolated. 10 minutes ferry ride to Victoria Point shops and schools and an easy commute to Brisbane or the Gold Coast (50mins). It really is the best of both worlds. Ferrys run from 5.30am to 11.30pm. South East Queensland has a near perfect climate. Heating is rarely necessary and the hot months (December/January) are improved by bay breezes.
