The house is situated in a quiet residential area with street parking and close to Glossop’s town centre. It is a bright, high ceilinged and comfortable end of terrace cottage, surrounded by wonderful views of the nearby hills. On the ground floor is a cosy sitting room with large fireplace and log burner, comfortable seating, TV and DVD player. The sitting room leads through to the dining kitchen, which overlooks the back garden. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave, etc., and a stable door opens onto the sunny southwest facing garden. Upstairs there is a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, a double bedroom with king size bed and a further bedroom with two single beds.Immediately outside the back door is a patio with dining area and a convenient log store. The rest of the garden is laid to lawn surrounded by pretty flowerbeds. The garden is a peaceful spot to sit and relax in whilst admiring the surrounding hills.

About the location

Glossop is a lively and friendly market town. There is a wonderful range of interesting shops and eateries and 3 days a week there is also an indoor and outdoor market. Within the town there is a fantastic local park with a miniature train, tennis courts, a children’s play area, a scenic stream for paddling in and lovely gardens. There is also a Victorian swimming baths and a modern leisure centre. Nearby is a golf club, a sailing club, and pony trekking. Glossop is at the north western edge of the High Peak National Park with its pretty historic spa towns and glorious open countryside favoured by walkers and cyclists. It is a wonderful area to explore. Glossop has a train station (30 minutes to Manchester) and good local bus services. In the area, amongst other attractions, are Chatsworth House, Quarry Bank Mill, Blue John Cavern, Haddon and Hardwick Halls the spa towns of Buxton and Matlock Bath , and all of course all the vibrant facilities of Manchester.
