Our home is a detached house with some period features, extensively remodelled and refurbished (tastefully!) in 2007. There is a garage and gardens to front and rear, perfect to sit out when our climate allows. The kitchen is open-plan (ideal for a family) with both dining space and seating area and direct access to the rear garden (with small pond). There is a ground floor bedroom with ensuite shower room. Upstairs there are 3 further bedrooms with a family bathroom.

About the location

Our home is situated in Gosforth, one of the desirable leafy suburbs of Newcastle upon Tyne. Our local High St with several pubs, restaurants, banks and shopping is about 5 minutes walk away. We are 2-3 miles out of the city centre, plenty of buses and local metro system take you there. Newcastle is a lovely city, compact but with all the amenities one would expect - theatres, art galleries, museums and of course the iconic River Tyne with its many bridges. Newcastle is a perfect base for a holiday - one can be very quickly in the wilds of Northumberland with it's beautiful coastline and moorlands. Scotland and the fantastic Lake District are a couple of hours drive away.
